MANYA KROBO CHIEFS GRACE 2014 ODWIRA FESTIVAL

Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo led his sub-chiefs to grace this year’s Odwira festival of the people of Akropong-Akwapim. He was accompanied by two of his Divisional Chiefs Nene Okpatakpla Sasraku of Manya Clan and Nene Agbau Narh of Djebiam Clan. Also in attendance was Nene Asada Ahor, Chief of Akuse, and several other Asfoatseme and Manyeme (queenmothers) of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area. We find this act very refreshing because it will go a long way to strengthen the bond between the two traditional areas. We hope to have a similar strong representation from Akropong at our Ngmayem festival this October.
